The platform Ablioconference

desktop

Ablioconference is a comprehensive simultaneous interpretation system for both live and web-based conferences. Event organizers and interpreters manage real-time translations using standard computers. The interpreted audio is made available to the audience on various devices via mobile apps or through the web. Ablioconference is compatible with any videoconferencing platform. For live events, it eliminates the need for traditional dedicated radio systems, significantly reducing costs, time, and resource requirements. Interpreters can work either on-site or remotely.

The platform can be used in self-service mode: simply create a free account at ablioconference.com to start setting up, configuring, testing, and trying out your own events at no cost. Affordable pay-per-use rates apply, and charges are only incurred if and when an event goes live. Extensive documentation and online technical support are always available with just a click.

How Self Service mode works:

In order to use Ablioconference for your events, you need to create your own account by signing up on ablioconference.com website. Registration is free. however, you will need to enter your credit card details before actually sending your real event on air.

Once registered, you will have immediate access to your personal dashboard, where you can start using the platform to create and organize your team, and configure, test and launch events.

You can use your own interpreters or request them from Ablio, by accessing our large pool of accredited interpreters, writing to support@ablio.com or requesting them directly from the interpreter configuration page of your account.

The Ablioconference platform can be integrated with our AWB Wi-Fi Broadcaster device, which generates and manages a dedicated Wi-Fi network capable of supporting thousands of listeners at the event venue.

Ablioconference is billed on a pay-per-use basis, for the days/events actually used and broadcasted. Tests and trials of the system are free of charge and on line customer support is always available.

Subtitling and other services

Subtitles are on-screen text translations of the audio contained in the video. Voice-over is a production technique in which the interpreter’s voice is added to the video, making it understandable to users who do not know the speaker’s language, while the original voice is lowered to a whisper.

How the service works

If we have provided simultaneous interpretation for the event

· Each translation channel is recorded during the event

· Audio translation channels are transformed into SRT text files, with timecodes

· The SRT text files are reviewed by the same interpreter who performed the live translation, adapting the translation and the format of the subtitles.

· The edited SRT file is ready to be used for generating the video with subtitles

If you have videos that need to be subtitled

· Send us the original video

· We create a translated, time-coded text, which is reviewed and adapted by our translators.

· We create the SRT file for subtitles or the new subtitled video

Voice-over

We take care of the entire realization of the project starting from your video, with the translation and the new audio recording, selecting the most appropriate voices and adopting the tools and procedures most suited to the nature and objectives of the project.

We are always improving our production processes to make our services more effective: our prices are competitive: varying from project to project, from 4 dollars up to 15 dollars per minute for the most complex requests.

Something else to know

When referring to the words that appear on a video screen, many people tend to use the terms captions and subtitles interchangeably. However, they actually differ in both definition and purpose. Captions are intended for viewers who cannot hear the audio, while subtitles are meant for viewers who can hear but do not understand the language spoken in the video.
Captions allow viewers to understand all essential audio elements of a video, which often include more than just spoken dialogue. Non-speech sounds that are important for comprehension are typically included in captions and are usually indicated within brackets.
Subtitles, on the other hand, are a written translation of the spoken language into one that the viewer can understand.
Voice-over and dubbing are additional methods used to render the original audio into a language understood by the audience. However, voice-over is not lip-synced with the original dialogue, which remains faintly audible in the background. Dubbing, by contrast, is synchronized with the actors’ lip movements and is more precise, preserving the tonal, emotional, and technical richness of the original voices.
In audio translation, dubbing aims to conceal the fact that a translation has taken place, making the new content feel natural to the target audience and creating the illusion that the on-screen actors are speaking the viewer’s native language. Voice-over is primarily used for educational content and for broadcasting multilingual conferences and events, while dubbing is typically used for films and TV series.
